I hear it all the time in the store. I see different Moms looking for kids boots that are close to what Dad wears.  These patchwork boots look great and would make a Father and Son stick out in any crowd. They both have a genuine leather sole and blue piping along the side. The Adult size boots are from Horse Power by Anderson Bean.   These boots are available in the store only for now. Anderson Bean offers many different soles. Today I am going to show you two of our favorites.

First up is the "Smackdown" Sole (Shown above on the far left)

This sole is lined with a thick piece of conveyor belt rubber. This sole is perfect for those of you that are tough on your boots and go through soles quickly. Although out of the box it is stiffer than a leather sole, It is well worth the longer break in period.

The second sole is The Hybrid. It is a slotted rubber piece that is embedded into the Leather sole. This is for those of you that like the look and feel of a leather sole but need the extra traction. We are big fans of this sole because the rubber has been worked into the sole as opposed to other models that have the rubber glued or sewn on top. This prevents pebbles or other debris getting between the rubber and the leather sole. As you can see in the top picture they have even colored the rubber to match the sole (Top Picture middle boot)

So how do you find your sole mate? Come on in and try them on. It's that easy.

The boots I decided to share with you today are made by Rio Of Mercedes. Both of them are smooth ostrich with a cutter toe and a cowboy heel. If you have yet to try on a Rios boot I think you are missing out. The heels, tops, soles, and vamps are cut to eliminate rubbing, sagging, chafing, and cracking, Here are a few pictures of these boots taken today at our store in Lubbock, Texas.

As you know The South Plains Starts Tonight. From 6pm-11pm there will be no admission or parking fees and all rides are $1.00. The Fair runs until October 1st. There are 8 concerts this year, Starting with Kevin Fowler on Friday night! Before you go out don't forget to stop in to Boot City! We are ready and waiting to get you all dressed up.

I was the lucky enough to be the first person to unwrap these absolutely stunning boots today. Tony Lama's Signature Series Full Quill and Caiman boots have arrived here at Boot City and BootCity.com I can honestly tell you I have handled boots from several different boot makers and this is the nicest Full Quill I have ever seen. The picture doesn't do this boot justice, not even close. From the very intricate hand tooled shaft to the top notch full quill ostrich skin. Tony Lama says this boot is a masterpiece and they may be understating it.

On August 13th the CBR will be here in Lubbock. From what I have read about the performances so far its going to be a great show!
